Pssst: Insider Info on Blogger Bash @ ALA Annual
Breaking News: Library Garden has "the scoop" from a reliable source!
ALA President-Elect Leslie Burger will host a gathering for bloggers in her suite at the Hilton on Saturday June 24th after the Scholarship Bash (starting around 10:30 pm and going until midnight). It will be an informal event, great for networking, unwinding and catching up with bibliobloggers both old and new. So why not plan to take in Mary Chapin Carpenter at the official Bash and then head over to the Hilton for the after-bash blogger bash.
More details to be forthcoming, just be sure to mark your calendars. Please rsvp by leaving a comment here on Library Garden if you plan on attending so everyone can see who will be there -- and to make sure you get final details (aka precise location) when they are available drop me an email: jhermann at princetonlibrary dot org. Spread the word!
Oh, and if you are wondering how Library Garden got this breaking news... check my blogger profile and you might notice that I have "connections" to LB... and she is my reliable source. I just finished meeting with her and she has asked me to promote and coordinate.

I see it. Princeton Public Library. I see you also have a link to Central New York and the Finger Lakes region. Geneva is a beautiful town. I grew up in Ithaca, also in the Finger Lakes!
Hey Bill: Our connectivity is even greater than the Finger Lakes -- I am also a moderator on WJ! Small World!
Oh, and at the suggestion of Pete Bromberg I added my email address to the orginal post to make the rsvp process a little more official. So, now the connection between LB (as she is known at MPOW) and myself is obivous up front.
As for ALA, I won't arrive until late Sunday so I'll miss the blogger bash, but be sure to take some pictures!
I'll try to be there at the after hours event-our library wants to create different blogs for users on our website. Cheri-Ada Community Library, Boise, ID.
I'll be there, with a friend. It will be a great way to end the evening after Mary Chapin Carpenter.
I'm there!
I'll be at the blogger bash, too! Looking forward to it!

With bells on!
I won't be at ALA and will be so sad to miss this!
I'll be there as well. Probably sans bells.
I'll be there! Not saying where I'm hanging my bells (they hang a little lower every year...)
I'll be there with bells on! (Okay, maybe jeans and a torn t-shirt since I don't have to dress up for interviews anymore.)
I'm in! See you there.
I'll be there!
Looks like we have a real party in the makings now! I think this event could be the highlight of ALA for me. Glad to see so many will be coming, both with bells and without!
For those who are coming in a day early, join us at the New Orleans Public Library for a workshop on library as place.

Thanks all for getting together and planning events for those who will attend.
Sounds like fun. Mary Chapin Carpenter is amazing if you haven't heard her try to make the Scholarship Bash.
Sounds good. I will try to make it.
I'll probably stop by.
I'm in! Sounds like fun.
I'm looking forward to it. I'll be there.
Definitely some of us from Darien will be there. Thanks, Leslie, for organizing the bash.
I'll be there...if I haven't fallen asleep, exhausted...
Will try, with the Boyfriend in tow, most likely...
I think I have a bracelet with bells to wear... Count me in!
I'd like to come to the blogger bash, provided I'm still awake that late at night!
I'll be there, too, with a friend!
I'll be there!
I'll be there.. most likely!

Count me in. It will be great to actually meet the people behind the blogs.
And me! Sounds like this will be huge.
It'll be good to put more faces to more names, see you late-night at the after-party. Where's the after-after-party?

Can you pack in one more blogger into Leslie Burger's suite? I'd love to meet all of you!
If the voodoo ceremony does not overwhelm me, I am in.
It sounds wonderful. I'll try to be there - with husband in tow, probably. I a complete newcomer to the profession (a first year master's student), and I'm working with AASL on their blog, giving the newbie's view/experience of the conference.
I'll try to be there.
If I'm not too late - I'd like to participate - First time conference blogger here and I need all the help I can get!
All about it. I'll bring as many PLA Bloggers as I can...
If I'm up, I'll be there...
Provided I can keep my eyes open that long, I'll be there!
I hope to attend as well. If anyone wanted to be rid of the entire biblioblogosphere in one swift stroke, this would be a great opportunity. =)
If I'm still awake, I'll be there. And, another shout out for the "near Finger Lakes" towns like my home town of Binghamton.
I'm a newbie, but I'd love to chat about blogs etc. Any other Pennsylvanians out there?
maisonbisson indicated a desire for blogalicious summaries of the blogger bash, we came up with a tag we would use for the event: BloggerBash2006
